Choosing between treatments
A sub-brow lift adjusts sagging upper-eyelid skin through an incision along the lower brow border. It is not primarily an operation to lift the brow itself. If the brow and forehead have descended, a forehead lift may be considered. Brow-to-eye distance, skin excess, eyebrow density and the existing crease are assessed; the original appearance cannot be guaranteed to stay identical.
Recovery and precautions
Swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, asymmetry, dryness and scarring may occur. Lower-eyelid surgery also requires attention to eyelid pulling or outward turning. Early improvement is not complete healing. Work, washing, makeup, contact lenses, exercise and any suture removal depend on the method and healing. Contact the clinic for worsening or unexpected symptoms.
